KidsKount to Feature Sports, Teen Forum
The Mission With Benevolence Foundation joins UC Irvine in co-hosting the fifth annual Kids-Kount clinic Oct. 11.
The clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Crawford Hall at UCI.
Youths between the ages of 5 and 18 can participate in sports clinics focusing on the finer points of football, baseball, basketball, tennis, martial arts, boxing, soccer and golf.
Clinics will be led by active and retired professional athletes, including members of the Anaheim Angels and the United States Tennis Assn.
Teenagers can attend Youth Summit, an open forum on drugs, gangs, teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, peer pressure and self-esteem.
Admission is $5, but no one will be turned away if they cannot pay. Advance registration is encouraged.
