Surplus Expected to Reduce Street Fees
Moorpark may charge residents less to maintain the city’s street lights, road medians and parkways next year.
During the 1997-98 fiscal year, most homeowners paid $35.60 to the city’s Lighting Maintenance Assessment District. But an expected surplus has led to a proposed reduction of those fees by $1.57 next fiscal year.
The City Council is scheduled to discuss the fee tonight at 7 p.m. at 799 Moorpark Ave. The council also will set dates for public hearings on this topic.
