* County connections: Patty Godwin (Mater Dei), Stephanie Rapel (Trabuco Hills High) and Jessica Roche (Laguna Beach High).
* Worth noting: Godwin, a senior from Fountain Valley, is 0-5 with a 5.01 earned-run average. In 22 1/3 innings, she has given up 40 hits and 16 earned runs, struck out 11 and walked seven. She is batting .341 with two runs batted in. Right fielder Rapel, a sophomore from Mission Viejo, is batting .319 with one home run and a team-leading 12 RBIs. Second baseman Roche, from Aliso Viejo, is batting .303 with four RBIs.
