Hubbard Leads Huntington Beach

Ryan Hubbard hit for the cycle to lead Huntington Beach to a 13-11 victory over seventh-ranked Fountain Valley in a Sunset League baseball game Wednesday at Fountain Valley.

Hubbard doubled in the top of the seventh inning to drive in Shawn Schuck with the game-winning run.

Hubbard, who also reached base on an error, had six RBIs and three runs scored for Huntington Beach (6-3, 3-1).

Schuck drove in the tying run in the seventh with a single to right field, then took second on the throw to the plate, which set up Hubbard’s game-winning RBI.

Jeff Ruziecki also homered and doubled for the Oilers.
