Council to Be Briefed on Storm Repairs
From the city attorney to the public works director, a series of officials will update council members tonight on efforts to repair devastation caused by last month’s landslide.
“We’ll be focusing on the events of the past three weeks, tracing the chronology, discussing what the long-term fix might be,” City Manager Tim Casey said. “It will be an up-to-the-minute status report.”
Casey said the city is working with geotechnical consultants employed by homeowners groups affected by the slope failure off Crown Valley Parkway. In the future, the city will be responsible for approving any measures needed to clean up the tons of rubble caused by the landslide and stabilizing the slope.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be at City Hall, 27841 La Paz Road. Information: (714) 362-4300.
