La Habra’s Fischer Signs With Fullerton

Cal State Fullerton has signed Josh Fischer, a 6-9 forward from La Habra High, Titan men’s basketball Coach Bob Hawking said Thursday.

“We’re really pleased to have him as part of our program,” Hawking said. “He averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds this past season. He’s a 6-9 guy who can shoot and has the attributes to go inside or play on the perimeter.”

Fischer has been an All-Freeway League team selection the last two seasons.

Fischer is the first player signed by the Titans this spring. Fullerton signed guard Brandon Campbell of St. Louis, forward Josh Helbig of Belleville, Ill., point guard Matt Donahue of Etiwanda High and center Mitch Deve of Albuquerque, N.M., in the fall.
