* Re “Yaroslavsky Plan Imperils Subway,” March 31.

Now I am sure we are at the end of times. The good Supervisor [Zev] Yaroslavsky has joined forces with his fine classmate, Mike Antonovich, and asks the people of Los Angeles to see the ugly truth: Urban high-speed rail service is the devil incarnate and unless we rid our city of this evil, the holy automobile’s perch on Monopoly Mountain could be threatened. It’s odd that Antonovich now complains about waste when he was at the helm during the period of sabotage. Zev is confused by “heavy” and “light” rail, when all that really matters is grade separation. This would be laughable were it not so sad.
