Cougars’ Manning Wins One-Meter Competition
Tiffany Manning of Capistrano Valley finished first in the girls’ one-meter diving event in the Mission Viejo Diving Invitational on Saturday at the Mission Viejo Aquatics Center.
Manning had 483.60 points and Edison’s Kellie Brennan was second with 472.50. Tamara Pace, also from Capistrano Valley, was third at 461.55.
In the boys’ competition, El Toro’s Ray Vincent won with 527.35 points.
Laguna Hills’ Robbie Quinn (494) and Grant Mendiola (490.60) were second and third.
In the Chino baseball tournament:
Mission Viejo 10, Westminster 5--Chris Willmer had a double, a home run and three RBIs to lead Mission Viejo (11-6) to the championship.
Westminster’s Mike Poling, the tournament’s top player, had a double and a home run.
