Police Seek Tips on Bar Robbery
Two armed men robbed a bar just after it opened for business early Tuesday, police said.
A handful of people, including waitresses, a bartender and a customer, had entered the Corner Lounge on the 8500 block of Chapman Avenue just after 6:30 a.m. when the robbers jumped on the bar and ordered the bartender to hand over money from the cash register, Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Paddock said. The bartender complied.
No one was hurt, and police have not disclosed how much money was stolen. Both robbers fled before police arrived.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at (714) 288-6743.
