3 Plead Guilty in $17-Million Heist

Three people accused in a $17-million armored car company heist pleaded guilty. Michael McKinney was accused of delivering money to and plotting to kill former Loomis Fargo & Co. employee David Scott Ghantt, who was allegedly filmed stealing the money. Sandra and Dennis Floyd pleaded guilty to one count each of money laundering after being accused of accepting $40,000 to rent safe deposit boxes in which $1.9 million was found. Fifteen of 20 defendants in the robbery have either pleaded guilty or agreed to enter pleas. The money was stolen Oct. 4 from the company’s vault in Charlotte, N.C.
