Sesquicentennial Theme at Youth Expo
Next year’s Youth Expo at the fairgrounds will recognize California’s 150th birthday.
The 20th annual expo, which highlights academic and artistic talents of Orange County youth, will celebrate “Days of Old & Panning for Gold,” a nod to state history. The fairgrounds are an official sight of sesquicentennial events.
Activities for the April 1999 event will include wagon painting, panning for gold and storytelling. A science fair, jazz festival and talent search also are planned.
