LOCAL NOTES
Sean Jackson, a 6-foot-5 guard who transferred to UC Irvine, will undergo knee surgery.
Jackson, who will be a redshirt at Irvine this season, was injured playing basketball this summer. He appeared in 17 games for California last season.
He has two years eligibility remaining.
