Free Speech
Re “Free Speech Cited in Suit Over Handbill Ordinance,” Aug. 26: It is outrageous that Pasadena would try to punish handbill distributors for delivering advertising to residents who individually object. Isn’t it bad enough that many people destroy these handbills without reading them! A clear violation of the freedom of speech. Until all citizens can use sound trucks to communicate their messages and homes are required to keep their windows open, freedom of speech will continue to be ignored.
