Spotlight: New 3Com Device to Allow Wireless Web Access

A new hand-held computer from 3Com Corp. offers something unique in its class--a wireless connection to the Internet. The Santa Clara company said its Palm Computing unit will offer next year the Palm VII organizer, which will allow quick and easy access to the Web and instant two-way communication. The device will give users a wireless means of finding such information as flight schedules and news. It also will permit online transactions, such as stock trades, in 260 of the most populated U.S. areas.
