Harvard-Westlake One-Ups Hart
Imani Dorsey scored on a header from just outside the goal box with 13 minutes to play to lift Harvard-Westlake High to a 1-0 victory over Hart in a nonleague match between two of the top girls’ soccer teams in the region Tuesday at Harvard-Westlake.
Dorsey, the Wolverines’ sweeper, converted from eight yards in the 67th minute, after gaining control of a throw-in from the left sideline by freshman Missy Fine.
Dorsey’s goal was her second of the season.
Harvard-Westlake (7-1) outshot Hart (5-2-1) by a 7-5 margin, including 4-1 in the first half.
Sara Deckers, a junior goalkeeper for Harvard-Westlake, made four saves to record her fifth shutout of the season.
