A Better View for Two
You’re lying on the couch, watching a flick with your beau. Cozy? Perhaps. Comfortable? Probably not.
Problem: pillow stacking, a.k.a. piling enough pillows to prop the back person up to see over the front person’s head.
The solution is the Spooner Pillow, the first pillow designed for two people to watch television together (in the spooning position, of course).
The two-tiered pillow is the work of a Santa Monica couple: Victoria Clayton, a writer, and her musician boyfriend, Michael Alexander. A few years back, the two were discussing inventions as they nestled to watch a video. One of them casually said, “Someone should invent a pillow for two.”
Two and a half years later, the pillow has come to be, and Victoria and Michael are getting married. “We can’t guarantee it will work for everyone,” Clayton says, “but a little spooning can’t be bad.”
