Kirkpatrick to Talk at Reagan Library
Former United Nations Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick will be the featured speaker at today’s celebration of former President Ronald Reagan’s 87th birthday at the Reagan presidential library.
Kirkpatrick is scheduled to deliver a talk at 11 a.m. highlighting her diplomatic career, Reagan’s global legacy and the current state of world affairs.
Appointed U.N. ambassador by Reagan in 1981, Kirkpatrick served in that position and on the National Security Council for four years.
She is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and a professor at Georgetown University in Washington.
Library administrators have installed closed-circuit televisions that will broadcast the speech to those unable to find space in the auditorium.
