Police Find Man’s Body in Burning Car
Authorities on Wednesday found the charred body of a man inside the trunk of a burning car.
About 10:40 p.m., police received a call reporting a burning vehicle in the 1200 block of South Petrolia Avenue in an industrial area of Compton, Capt. Steve Roller said.
The body was found after the fire was extinguished. The identity has not been determined, and the man had been hit in the back of the head, officials said.
Police think the car had been used earlier Wednesday in another crime.
