Here for his fourth Olympics is the Italian skiing stallion, Alberto Tomba. Wealthy international playboy. Possessor of six Olympic medals--three gold, three silver.
Tomba, 31, is his usual bashful self.
“Many people follow me,” he says. “They love me. They care about me.”
The lothario of the slopes says he is now looking for “a girl who loves me, worries about having a family, who is not concerned about my name or how she looks beside me.”
But first, other plans?
Go Hollywood? Be in films?
“Actually, I’d like to be a film director, or a producer,” says the skiing [Steven] Spielberg. “I have so many ideas in my head right now.”

U.S. ski team member Todd Lodwick was asked to name his favorite event other than Nordic skiing.
“Alpine skiing,” he said, going way out on a limb.

“Or hockey,” Lodwick said. “I’d like to beat up somebody.”
