Couple Plead Guilty to Tax Evasion, Fraud Charges
A couple who owned a local pager company have pleaded guilty to tax evasion and fraud charges stemming from the bankruptcy of the now-defunct International Paging Corp., authorities said Tuesday.
Robert D. Winter Jr. and his wife, Susan, both 43, failed to report more than $100,000 of personal income earned in 1992, prosecutors said. The couple owned and operated the Pasadena-based pager company, which filed a bankruptcy petition in 1994, officials said.
