Officers Search for Leads in Killing of Rolls-Royce Owner
Investigators sought information Friday about the stabbing death of a 60-year-old man whose Rolls-Royce was believed to be stolen from the parking garage where his body was found.
John Kenneth Kim was found dead in an underground garage at the Marina City Club on Admiralty Way at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, said Deputy Joan Raber, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.
Kim lived in that block, but it was unclear Friday whether he was a resident of the Marina City Club, Raber said.
Kim was chief executive officer of SEI Corp. of Los Angeles, Raber said, but she said she did not know the nature of the business.
Sheriff’s deputies are seeking help from the public in locating Kim’s white 1991 four-door Rolls-Royce with license plate number 2VVK318, which was missing from the secured parking garage when deputies arrived. Anyone with information about the crime should call the Sheriff’s Department homicide bureau at (213) 890-5500.
