According to Zandl Group, a New York-based consulting firm, a television and hot tube were high on the 1997 Christmas wish lists of children between the ages of 8 and 12. Percentage of children who wanted certain items:
Swimming pool: 97%
Big-screen TV: 96%
Hot tub: 91%
Trip to Disney World: 90%
Go-cart: 85%
Cellular phone: 84%
Camping trip with family: 61%
Tickets to Spice Girls concert: 60%
