Parade, Walk to Fete Israel’s Anniversary
In celebration of community solidarity for Israel, the Jewish National Fund of Orange County/Long Beach will hold its Golden Jubilee Parade--Walk for Israel ’98 on April 26.
The event will be held in conjunction with the observance of Israel’s 50th anniversary.
The organization expects more than 5,000 people to join the walk at UC Irvine, followed by the Jewish Community Fair at the campus’ Aldrich Park.
Registration for the parade/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m.; festivities at 9 a.m.; and the Jewish Community Fair at 11 a.m.
The preregistration cost of the walk, which includes admission to the fair and a commemorative T-shirt, is $18 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
