5 Chambers to Meet at Business Mixer

Five north Valley chambers of commerce will gather Thursday in Mission Hills to get better acquainted, organizers said Monday.

Chamber members from Granada Hills, Mission Hills, Northridge, San Fernando and Sylmar will get together to network at a free public event hosted by Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and the Greater Valley Medical Group Inc.

“This event is one of the biggest chamber mixers of the year and an opportunity for the community to meet local business owners,” said Jennifer Bruce, the event’s coordinator and spokeswoman for Providence, which has hosted or co-hosted the event since 1989.

Last year, about 150 people attended, said Bruce, adding that they expect about the same number for this year’s event, which will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Greater Valley Medical Building, 11600 Indian Hills Road, Mission Hills.
