Opportunities for Volunteering
The East Valley and West Valley Animal Service Centers are looking for volunteers to reunite owners with their lost pets. The centers are looking for detail-oriented, organized volunteers with good phone and people skills.

Volunteers are sought for the Mounted Patrol Unit of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Volunteers are required to take 16 hours of classes, including “Orientation to the National Parks,” “Visitor Contact Skills” and “Proper Use of the National Park Service Radio.”
Volunteers must commit to patrolling 96 hours a year at various park sites within the Santa Monica Mountains. For more information, contact Vince Curtis, horse patrol coordinator, at (818) 735-0939.
Volunteers with good communication skills are needed at Glendale Memorial Hospital, 1420 S. Central Ave. A minimum commitment of four hours a week for six months is required. For more information, contact the hospital’s volunteer coordinator at (818) 502-2373.
Tender Loving Care Home Hospice is looking for volunteers throughout the San Fernando and Conejo valleys to care for terminally ill patients.
