Body of Woman Found on Sylmar Trail
SYLMAR — Authorities responding to a call this weekend about an unconscious woman on a hiking trail above Harding Street found the body of a 36-year-old Sylmar woman, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
The body of the woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was found Saturday above the 12900 block of Harding, said Officer Eduardo Funes. Funes said the body was clad in a black blouse and red pants. The LAPD’s Foothill Division is investigating.
Funes said he did not know how long the body had been there, or whether there were signs of foul play.
“The cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy,” Funes said.
