Vitesse Reports Record Revenues, Net Income

Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. in Camarillo reported record revenues and net income for the third quarter ended June 30.

Revenues were $46.1 million, an increase of 67% over $27.6 million in the third quarter of fiscal 1997 and a 15% rise over $40.2 million in the second quarter of fiscal 1998.

Net income for the third quarter was $13.9 million or 18 cents per share, compared with net income of $9 million or 12 cents per share in the third quarter of fiscal 1997, and net income of $12.1 million or 15 cents per share in the second quarter of this year.

Vitesse manufactures integrated circuits for telecommunications and data communications equipment manufacturers. Besides headquarters in Camarillo, the company has a fabrication facility in Colorado Springs, Colo.
