Opportunities for Volunteering
The Volunteer Center Assistance League of Southern California, 8132 Van Nuys Blvd., Suite 200, Panorama City, is seeking individuals with mechanical skills to refurbish used wheelchairs.

The Performing Arts Center at Cal State Northridge needs volunteers to serve as ushers at events and organize special programs and activities. The San Fernando Valley Literacy Council needs volunteers to help adults improve their reading and writing skills. Tutor training will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Saturday.
