Former Anteaters Announce Transfer Plans
Three players who left the UC Irvine men’s basketball team after last season have committed to other universities.
Junior Bond, a 5-foot-7 point guard, said he will transfer to Division II Southern Indiana. He averaged 5.5 points and led the Anteaters with 95 assists. He started 22 of 27 games. Bond, who will be a senior, will be eligible immediately.
Juma Jackson, a 6-4 forward, said he will transfer to Division I North Carolina Asheville. Jackson averaged 4.4 points last season and nine as a freshman. Jackson will sit out next season and have two years of eligibility remaining.
Andrew Carlson, a 6-10 center, said he will transfer to Biola. Carlson, who will be eligible immediately, averaged 4.8 points last season and 5.5 points as a freshman.
