Man Is Suspected of Selling Stolen Tools
A 40-year-old Thousand Oaks man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of selling stolen property after undercover sheriff’s deputies said they bought $2,500 in tools from him at garage sales.
The arrest culminated a monthlong investigation of Rogelio Reyes of Thousand Oaks, during which deputies purchased tools at garage sales at Reyes’ home in the 800 block of Avenida De Los Arboles, said Sheriff’s Senior Deputy Dan Hawes.
Investigators believe that Reyes obtained the tools from his place of work, Harbor Freight Tools of Oxnard, Hawes said. Reyes was booked into east county jail on $5,000 bail.
