On Ground, in Air --and in the Past
Here’s a unique trip to the past: British Pullman’s new Vintage Flying Day tour, which lets passengers live out their fantasies in the air and on the ground.
Passengers ride a steam-hauled train from London to Sussex, hop aboard vintage military vehicles for the trip from the train station to Shoreham airport, Britain’s oldest public airport, and then get two flights on pre- and postwar planes. The cost is about $465 per person, including brunch and supper on the train, transfers and insurance at the airport. And it’s all done in a day.
The trip is offered May 12 only. Reservations: (800) 237-1236.
