Windsor Auction
Re “Auction Serves Romantic Piece of Windsor History,” Feb. 20: The notion that Benjamin Yim would spend nearly $30,000 for a morsel of 61-year-old cake would be laughable, if not for the fact that his money could have bought an awful lot of edible food for hungry people in his own community. “It represents the epitome of a great romance,” said Yim. In my opinion, it represents the idiocy of people who don’t know the value of a dollar. Let them eat cake, indeed.
