Natalie Nakase
Marina, Senior; Basketball/Guard
Nakase led Marina to its first section basketball title, scoring 27 points with eight assists and eight rebounds in a 67-58 victory over San Clemente in the Division I-A final. Nakase also had 18 points and six assists in a semifinal victory over second-seeded Ventura Buena, which won section titles in three of the last four seasons.
Candice Chick/Water Polo/Goalie
* Marina, senior. Had eight saves to help Marina upset previously unbeaten Long Beach Wilson, 7-3, in the section Division I final.
Cindy Oparah/Basketball/Forward
* Brethren Christian, senior. Had 22 points and 14 rebounds in a 44-37 overtime victory against Cerritos Valley Christian in the Division IV-A final, giving the Warriors their first section title.
Erin Regan/Soccer/Goakeeper
* Santa Margarita, senior. Helped unseeded Eagles earn a share of the Division II title, making four saves in 0-0 tie with South Torrance.
