Xircom Wins Award for Remote-Access Modem

A PC Card made by Xircom Inc. in Thousand Oaks has won the 1998 Mobility Award, given to innovative and successful mobile computer products.

Mobile Insights and Mobile Computing & Communications Magazine named Xircom’s CreditCard Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 this year’s Mobility Award recipient in the Remote Access Hardware category.

“Xircom is honored that our [modem] was recognized as one of the best products of the year by such an important group of mobile industry influencers,” said Renee Bader, Xircom’s vice president of worldwide marketing.

Xircom makes communications products to connect mobile and remote portable computer users to corporate networks and the Internet from a wide variety of locations.
