Man Sought in Slaying After Game at Park
Police were seeking a man who shot another man to death in a dispute after an afternoon basketball game at a Culver City park.
Nichol Watson, 28, of Los Angeles, died of gunshot wounds at the scene of the 2:30 p.m. shooting Sunday afternoon in Blair Hills Park, said coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier.
The park was crowded after several rainy weekends and people scattered when they heard the gunshots, making it difficult to round up witnesses, authorities said.
