AMPAS Foundation Awards Film Grants
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Academy Foundation has awarded $124,500 in grants to 17 U.S. film programs. The grants will help pay for internships, preservation projects, conferences, workshops and seminars.
Recipients include the American Film Institute ($25,000), California Institute of the Arts ($8,000), Orange County’s Chapman College ($5,000), UCLA Film and Television Archive ($5,000), USC’s School of Cinema ($5,000) and USC’s Professional Writing Program ($5,000).
The Academy Foundation has granted more than $1.6 million since the program began in 1968.
