Wine Fest to Benefit Scholarship Fund

Live jazz, fine wine and gourmet food will highlight the 4th Annual Newport Beach Spring Food & Wine Festival tonight through Sunday at the Balboa Bay Club.

Net proceeds from the festival and Saturday’s “big bottle” wine auction will benefit the Balboa Bay Club Scholarship Fund, which supplements college tuition for selected students from the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.

Question-and-answer sessions with winemakers, sampling of fine port wines and cigars, and the unveiling of a new wine from the Mondavi family of Napa Valley and the Frescobaldi family of Florence will be among the festival highlights.

Tickets range from $20 to $75 and are available from the Balboa Bay Club.
