Chapman Ave. Ramp Will Close for Work
The onramp to the southbound Santa Ana Freeway at Chapman Avenue in Orange is scheduled to close for two months beginning Tuesday.
The onramp will be realigned to meet Chapman and to accommodate the freeway widening through north Orange County.
Drivers who use the onramp from Chapman are advised to turn south on The City Drive to the eastbound Garden Grove Freeway and then immediately get on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway.
The construction is part of the $1.1-billion Santa Ana Freeway project begun in December 1996. Completion is targeted for 2000. Improvements include car-pool lanes and ramp upgrades.
Information on freeway construction: (714) 724-2077.
