Tickets on Sale for In-Line Hockey Championships
Tickets go on sale today for the International Ice Hockey Federation In-Line Hockey World Championships, July 20-25 in Anaheim.
The two-time gold medal-winning U.S. team will defend its title against teams from seven other countries in a round-robin tournament at Disney ICE and the Arrowhead Pond.
Each team plays three games in the preliminary round. All games involving the U.S. team are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The U.S. is in Group A with Austria, the Czech Republic and Russia. Group B is composed of Canada, Finland, Germany and Switzerland. Each day’s competition begins at 10:30 a.m., with games following at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The Group A winner will play the Group B second-place team in one semifinal, and the Group B winner meets the Group A second-place team in the other semifinal.
Disney ICE will host the preliminary games July 20-22 and the semifinals July 24. The Pond hosts the gold- and bronze-medal games July 25.
Tickets for all games can be purchased at Ticketmaster or the Pond box office. Tickets for games at Disney ICE are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. Tickets for games at The Pond are $6 to $18 for adults, and $4 to $10 for children 12 and younger.

The Zodiac will conclude its opening homestand at 7:30 tonight at UC Irvine, hosting the Cincinnati Riverhawks in A-League soccer.
The Zodiac (2-1), coming off a 2-1 victory over Minnesota, will be without starting midfielder Mario Sanchez, who was ejected in the game.
Cincinnati (0-2), which moved up two divisions this season, is coming off a 5-2 loss to defending league champion Milwaukee Rampage.

The Orange County Badminton Club will host the U.S. Badminton Open June 9-14 and the Senior Championships June 12-14 at its facility in Orange.
U.S. Open players will compete for $35,000 in men’s and women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles. Players representing Indonesia, Thailand, China, Denmark, Canada, England, Sweden, Scotland, Norway, Mexico and the United State are expected to compete.
The Senior Championships include competition in five age categories in singles and doubles play.
