To Fans, the Way Kings Lost Was Like a Kick to the Head
As a long-suffering King fan, I take my hat off to the St. Louis Blues and their most valuable player: Sean O’Donnell.

Never mind the Stanley Cup playoffs. If I’m a member of the St. Louis Blues, I’m going to Las Vegas.

As a season-ticket holder, I am outraged and saddened by the poor officiating during Monday night’s game between the Kings and Blues. The game was decided not on skill, but by a cheap shot and poor officiating.
For the fans of Los Angeles, some sort of action on the part of the league is essential to show that what was missed by the official was not missed by the league.

It’s truly amazing that every King fan can cry and whine about a correct call. Jamie Storr is outside the crease and tries to knock Geoff Courtnall off the puck, and for his trouble he got bumped into the net. Storr is now fair game since he is outside his crease. Then O’Donnell jumps Courtnall and begins pummeling him. That is a five-minute major, no matter how you look at it.
The next night, Dallas Star goaltender Ed Belfour was outside his crease and was hit by a San Jose Shark and there was nothing called. I guess I cannot expect the Kings’ fans to understand the call when their coach doesn’t.
How a team can allow four goals in 3:07 is amazing. If you cannot hold a three-goal lead in that situation, you don’t deserve to win. Coach Robinson should blame his team, not the ref, for the loss.
