WHAT THE CAMERA SAW / THE WEEK AND MORE
SINGULAR SERVICE
It’s a lonely job, but someone’s got to do it. A worker is left to hold up a wall for a shampoo commercial filming in Griffith Park. Attendant Antonio Segovia keeps a solitary vigil over cars in a Hollywood garage, and, at a conference aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, a jazz band provides entertainment even when there’s no one to be entertained.
UNIFORM SPIRITS
A uniform doesn’t have to be stifling. Officers loosen up at a Hollywood barbecue honoring the Los Angeles Police and Fire departments, while Immaculate Conception Middle School students revel in a free moment during a trip to the Central Library in downtown Los Angeles.
