Man Pleads Guilty to Unlawful Sex Acts
A 45-year-old Ventura man has pleaded guilty to three felony counts of unlawful sex acts on a minor, authorities said Monday.
After entering a guilty plea last week, Carmel “Chuck” Spiteri was sentenced to 16 months in state prison, authorities said. He had been charged with 17 felony counts of unlawful sex acts.
Spiteri pleaded guilty to sodomy, oral copulation and a lewd sex act with a male minor, authorities said.
Spiteri will be on parole for three years upon his release and will be required to register as a sex offender, authorities said.
