USC Among the Rejected for Regional Site
Bids by USC and Arizona State to play host to regional games were rejected by the Division I baseball selection committee Monday.
Regional hosts: South I Regional--Florida; South II--Louisiana State; Atlantic I--Miami; Atlantic II--Florida State; East--Clemson; Midwest--Wichita State; Central Regional--Texas A&M; West--Stanford (41-9-1).
The regional tournaments will be held May 21-24.
All host schools are guaranteed to be in the 48-team field that is announced on May 18, and will play on their home field.
Cal State Fullerton did not bid. The Titans do not have adequate seating to meet requirements for the NCAA’s minimum financial guarantee.
