LOS ALAMITOS
A proposed lease between the city and two online booksellers may breathe some life into the embryonic Los Alamitos Town Center. City officials had laid the groundwork for the new center but were lacking a crucial element--tenants for the former post office property at 10932 Pine Street. Pam and John Donaldson, who sell limited edition, out-of-print and newly released books through an Internet business called the Book Connection, meet all the center requirements, according to officials. The proposed lease, which will be discussed at tonight’s City Council meeting, would last three years at a rate of $2,000 per month. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 3191 Katella Ave. Information: (562) 431-3538.
