Conrad Cartoon

I wish to register my disgust at the appalling cartoon of an elephant on a cross (“Why have you forsaken me?” by Paul Conrad, Commentary, Nov. 6). Like many Christians, I find it shocking that a crucifixion, which lies at the center of the Christian faith, could be used as a kind of sick joke. The death of Jesus Christ was not a joke. But it did change history.

Could we please have no more of such cartoons?
