Carlton Names New Chief of Technicolor Group
Carlton Communications Plc has announced the appointment of Lanny Raimondo as divisional director of the wholly owned Technicolor group of companies, based in Camarillo.
Raimondo will be chief executive for all of Technicolor’s worldwide businesses, including videocassette and optical disc manufacturing, theatrical film production and distribution. Representing Technicolor throughout the rapidly growing entertainment industry, Raimondo will develop a strategy of expanding into new markets.
Technicolor is expanding throughout Europe, with new plants in Spain, Denmark and Italy, and is investing in a videocassette plant in Mexico. The company also is building its position in the DVD and DVD-ROM industry, with plants in the United States and Europe.
Raimondo joined Technicolor in 1994 as president of the video services division.
