HUNTINGTON BEACH
City officials will consider rezoning a small parcel at Pacific Coast Highway and Goldenwest Street from commercial to residential use at a meeting tonight.
The land, just under an acre in size, was switched from residential to commercial in the 1980s and now may go back to residential. Planning officials said they consider all areas along PCH for commercial use to bring in more tax revenue for the city. But this particular site is so small that developers might have a hard time coming up with a good project.
The public hearing starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 2000 Main St. Information: (714) 536-5227.
