Light Rain Expected as Storm Moves In
Rain will return to Ventura County by early afternoon today as the second storm in three days slides through, but it should not bring the downpours some areas experienced over the holiday weekend.
Most locales will see no more than half an inch of rain, although southwest-facing mountainous regions could get up to an inch, said Jeff House, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., a private firm that provides forecasts for The Times.
“This thing should be moving in and out pretty fast,” he said, adding that by Tuesday morning only a slight chance of rain will remain.
Highs today are expected to reach the upper 50s to mid-60s, with lows in the upper 40s to mid-50s. Breezy 10-mph to 20-mph winds will accompany the rain, House said.
