No. 1 Los Alamitos (4-0) vs. Long Beach Wilson (2-2)
7:30 TONIGHT LONG BEACH WILSON HIGH
The top-ranked Griffins can’t afford to look ahead to next week’s showdown with Esperanza. Wilson, which runs the wing-T offense, is back on track after committing nine turnovers (six fumbles, three interceptions) in two games--losses to Fountain Valley and Paramount. The Bruins turned over the ball only twice in victories over Lawndale Leuzinger and Edison. Los Alamitos barely escaped with a 28-21 victory over Bellflower St. John Bosco last week. Wilson needs to hold onto the ball, keeping Los Alamitos’ offense on the sideline as much as possible. Last year Los Alamitos won, 48-28.
