3Com Corp. cut prices on its PalmPilot computing devices as much as 20% to spur demand for its best-selling product line. Santa Clara-based 3Com, whose products are used to connect computers to corporate networks and the Internet, cut the cost of the newest version of its hand-held computer, the Palm III, to $369 from $399.
